Wear your Hawaiian shirts and bring a beach chair if you would like. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to: donate.oceanconservancy.org.

My name is Sandi (Fick) Ulery. Ty’s mom Leigh and I were close friends in high school. Although we didn’t see each other that often, we’ve remained friends all these many years. I met Ty & Matt when they were young mischievous boys but sadly missed the opportunity of knowing them as they grew into adulthood. Whenever we were together, Leigh & I would talk about our families... she was always so proud of their many accomplishments. Leigh, my heart aches for you! I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to all of Ty’s family and friends during this difficult time.

Ty was a friend of my son, Tim, in North Carolina. Andre and I had the pleasure of being invited to his house for a few occasions, and Ty had dinner at our house a few times. Each time I would make my homemade mac & cheese for him -- he loved it! He was a really nice fella, and I'm saddened that his life ended so soon. I send my sympathies to his family and friends. Ty will be missed!
