Alton Williams
Glen Allan
James "Alton" Williams died April 19, 2014 at his home in Glen Allan, MS. He was 70 years old. Born on July 27, 1943 to James Albert Williams and Bessie Mae McNeil, he lived in Jackson, MS for many years where he worked for Hawkins Fields as a Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor before moving to Glen Allen, MS in 1995. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Grace, MS and served in the U.S. Army.
Along with his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Randy Williams; brother-in-law, Bud Mullins; and great nephew, Timmy Mullins.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Wiliams of Glen Allan, MS; three sons, Mike Williams (Stacie) of Glen Allan, MS, Richard Williams (Carrie) of Cleveland, MS; and Chris Williams (Missy) of Matinville, MS; his mother, Bessie Williams of Florence, MS; four brothers, Rocky Williams of Pearl, MS, Eddie Williams of Alaska, Mark Williams of Florida, and Chip Williams of Pearl, MS; three sisters, Debbie Purvis (Sonnie), Kathy Quick (Bill), and Janie Crosby, all of Florence, MS; family, Becky and Jeffrey Nester of Madison, MS; eight grandchildren, Dylan Williams, Annaston Williams, Aiden Williams, Evan Williams, Gaines Williams, Ansley Williams, Madeline Williams, and Mia Williams; 13 nieces, nephew, and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday April 23, 2014 at Lake Washington Baptist Church in Glen Allan, MS with Rev. Ron Gomillion, Bro. Jimmy McClendon, and Bro. Tommy Stevens officiating. The Visitation will be 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 until the hour of the service. Burial will follow at County Line Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Shane Polk, Joshua Polk, Jeremy Polk, Ricky Mullins, Jimmy Mullins, and Coby Mullins.

Diane, please know that we are thinking of you and your family during this difficult time. We have so many good memories of Alton & the kids growing up together. And to Richard, Chris, & Mike, we are so sorry for the loss of your Dad. You guys will always have a special place in our hearts. May God bless all of you with his love and strength to endure such heartache.
