Anna Eloise Sherrill Stinson STATESVILLE Anna Eloise Sherrill Stinson, 98, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013. She was born in Catawba County, April 7, 1915, to Silas and Era Sherrill. She was a graduate of Celeste Henkel High School in Statesville. She also ran the Giant Oak Poultry Farm for many years. She is survived by her son, Jerry Stinson (Louella) of High Point; daughter, Kathy Stinson Talbert of Cary; sister, Dorothy Dickens of High Point; four grandchildren, Amelia Stinson-Wesley (Tom) of Pineville, Anna Stinson Porter (Mike) of Bloomington, Minn., Lindsay Talbert Addison (Mike) of Cary and Justin M. Talbert (Jennifer) of Cary; eight great-grandchildren, Kyra Stinson, Evan Stinson, Sam Porter, Evan Addison, Gavin Addison, Bryce Addison, Lauren Talbert and Ella Paige Talbert; and three step great-grandchildren, Matthew Porter, Tyler Porter, and Bryan Porter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Boyce Hunter Stinson in 1979; newborn twin sons, Harry and Larry Stinson on Aug. 17, 1938; and great-granddaughter, Ansley Addison on July 4, 2007. A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, Aug. 17, from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2 p.m. at New Perth ARP Church in Troutman, officiated by the Rev. Robert Sherer. The burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.troutmanfuneral home.com. Troutman Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Anna Eloise Sherrill Stinson.

Jerry and Kathy please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Your Mom was a remarkable person. I try to avoid crowds since my immune system isn't very good now but please know I will be ther in spirit. Love to all of the family.
