Nov. 20, 1937-August 12, 2018 Barbara Ann Sims of Lynnwood, WA passed away August 12, 2018 at the age of 80 after her third courageous battle with breast cancer. Barbara was born November 20, 1937 in Leed, SD. After her move to Seattle she attended Jane Adams Junior High and Lincoln High School. She spent many years involved in Campfire Girls, Pegasus Patrol horse club and the Alderwood Youth Club. She was "mom" to many kids. While being active in every aspect of her children's lives, she was helping her husband, Marvin, build their very successful business, Modern Sewer Construction Company. Once her children where grown, she started trapshooting with Marvin, which allowed them to travel around the country together. True to her nature, she gave 100%. She became president of the P.I.T.A where she started the P.I.T.A. Trapshooting Hall of Fame. She is survived by her brother, David B. Hunt (Susan); husband of 62 years, Marvin; and their three kids, Shannon (Jon), Shelly, and Cody; six grand kids and four great grand kids. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Floral Hills in Lynnwood. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to Seattle Children's Orthopedic Hospital, it was dear to her heart.
