Twelve years ago you were taken from us way too soon. The challenges and difficulties of this career we chose are hard to perceive for so many, but you stayed on the front lines and always made a difference. We remember you fondly and as always we pray for peace.

I will always remember you David, laughing and riding bikes...we were young and our life stretched out before us so our spirits were lite. I hold this image of you in my mind and heart. I am grateful that I met you on this life. I know you cared about CASA-the organization that helps women and children from domestic violence so I will do my part...just because of you. Thank you David, for everything. XO Jerrie Spencer

Words can not express how sad I am. David was my oldest friend, I knew him since I was born. Our mothers were best friends. While I am truly heartbroken, as we all are, my thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and coworkers at this time. I wish I had the right words to express my deep sympathy for the loss of this wonderful man. He will be missed but never forgotten.

"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked." Dave gave his all and he will rewarded in Heaven. To Dave's family and to the law enforcement family if you believe in a higher calling, then you would understand that Dave has been promoted to a new position as one of God's chosen protector of the Kingdom, a new angle in Heaven. There is a new badge in the sky, a new shining star that you can look up every night and know that Dave's on the job. May God bless and keep everyone of you in Jesus name I pray

To the family ... What can one say when this happens to another family, and not to yourself? The immense loss, the emptiness, the void in the minds, hearts and souls of the Crawford family ... Memories, photos, horses, kitty's, may fill some, but never all. Above all, family, you have one another, be there when being there is needed. You have to hold on to what you've got. Cherish, protect and keep your husband, your daddy within you every day, every hour, every minute until you are reunited.
God Bless And Keep You All.

May God bless you. You have given the ultimate sacrifice for your City and fellow man. I have attended way too many of these and as my career winds to an end I can only pray that I make it.
Your family has made a great sacrifice throughout your career as my family well knows and now faced with this I hope that they can take some solice in the knowledge that you died doing what you loved to do for yourself and for them to be so proud.
Rest now David, we have the watch from here.

REMEMBER ME

To the living, I am gone;
To the sorrowful
I will never return,
To the angry, I was cheated,
But to the happy, I am at peace.
And to the faithful
I have never left.
I cannot speak, but I can listen
I cannot be seen,
But I can be heard.
So as you stand
Upon a shore gazing
At a beautiful sea,
As you look upon a flower
and admire its simplicity.
Remember me;
Remember me in your heart
Your thoughts and your memories
Of the time, we loved,
The times we cried,
The times we fought,
The times we laughed.
For if you always think of me
I will have never gone.

May your precious memories forever keep our loved one close.

I understand all to fully the pain that Officer Crawfords family is going through. After the loss of my brother Matt Williams and K-9 DiOGi (eow 9-28-06) I only found comfort in knowing how much he did for our community. From all accounts, officer Crawford was also a huge part of the community. Always remember that it isn't his death that made him a hero, it was the life he chose to live. Today, he is walking the streets of gold with so many others who gave their lives so that we could all be safe. A Man Remembered Never Dies!

A man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. A person who, in the opinion of others, has heroic qualities or has performed a heroic act and is regarded as a model or ideal. This is David Crawford. It also describes every officer who risk their life every day to protect all of us. We too are a law enforcement family. May God surround you with comfort and grace during this time.
