Hauck, Janice M. COLONIE Janice M. Hauck, 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 21, 2017, at her home with her loving family by her side, after a brave and determined fight against pancreatic cancer. Janice was born in Yonkers, and was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth (Meszaros) Baricko. She is the devoted wife, of over 44 years, to Jack W. Hauck. She was employed with the New York State Troopers in the Forensic Investigation Center. Janice was a member and a communicant of Christ Our Light Catholic Church. Her family was her life, she enjoyed spending time with her daughters, who were her best friends. She loved animals, gardening, cooking, shopping and taking care of her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her one year old sister, Joan; and her 22 year old brother, Billy. In addition to her husband, Jack, Janice is survived by her daughters, Kelly (Rob) Desposito, Devon (Jim Hogan) Hauck and Kathryn (Ciro) Stefano. She is the proud grandmother of Anna and Frances. She was looking forward to the birth of her grandson in November. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 4 to 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 27, 2017, at 10 a.m. at Christ Our Light Catholic Church, 1 Maria Dr., Albany, NY 12211. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Agnes Cemetery, Menands. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Food pantry at Christ Our Light Parish in Janice's memory.
