Kelvin Meggs Obituary

Kelvin Meggs CONCORD Kelvin McLene Meggs, 43, of Wilmington, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013, at his home. Mr. Meggs was born Oct. 10, 1969, in Concord, to Kemp and Helen Meggs. The family will receive friends at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord Thursday, June 27, from 12 to 2 p.m. The funeral service, officiated by the Revs. Jimmy Barrett and Michael Tillman will follow at 2 p.m. in Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord Chapel. Burial will be held at Carolina Memorial Park. In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Karen Meggs, of Concord; and two nieces, Chelsea and Kirsten. Kelvin was a musician who enjoyed playing piano and organ at Poplar Grove Baptist Church. He worked for many years as a Registered Nurse. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Charlotte Rescue Mission, PO Box 33000, Charlotte, NC 28233. Hartsell Funeral Home is serving the Meggs family.
