I knew Mamie when I worked for Anacomp in Sarasota. She was probably the most outgoing person I ever knew and I fell deeply in love with her. I am so saddened by her passing. My sincere condolences go out to her family. "Mamie, be yourself. God loves you as I did!"

A little over two years ago I met a wonderful, outgoing, giving woman and I will never forget her or her kindness. A little over a year ago we lost that gentle soul.
I can never listen to 3AM without thinking of her or rememebering that it started raining at her funeral.
I will never forget how proud she was of her family or that they were most gracious in meeting every person that came to the funeral and shaking their hands. I have never been hugged so hard.
Still to this day every girl here that knew her talks about the fun loving person she was.
Finally she is pain free, at peace and hopfully kicking up her heels with the rest of those Glorious souls that have gone on before her. There is nothing like having a kind but fun loving Angel looking out for you.
All My Love Mammie, wherever you are my friend !!! Hugs and Kisses !!! Forever remembered !!!

You have our most heartfelt sympathy in the passing of Mamie. We met Mamie as a neighbor at our townhouse in Sarasota in the 80's. Our son, Steven, had a crush on Melissa (Missy) while our daughter Leslie hung out with Rob. In our neighborhood Mamie was called "urple" because of her fondness of the color purple. We haven't seen Mamie, or the kids in several years but will always cherish the fond memories. She will be missed.

Missy, Kelly, family and to ALL her friends. I just learned of Mamie's passing and wanted to send my sympathy and thoughts. I first met Mamie through my friend Ted MANY years ago before I started working at Citibank. She was someone who would leave an impression in just meeting her once in your life and to have her in it for many years was truly an experience. She lived her life the way SHE wanted and touched everyone around her in some way. She would be there for you for any occassion. All of our get togethers, for a walk, cancer raising, work party or just to have fun have been flashing through my mind after I heard. When I moved away 10 years ago I left so many friends that were my extended family behind at CBS/FiServ. The "gang" knew how to have a good time and enjoy being around each other during work and ALWAYS after work. Working with Mamie was a learning experience, she knew EVERYTHING about what the job was it seemed and always could find solutions for any problems that popped up! I remember doing the 1st cancer walk with her, well not with her, because she was kicking all of our butts at the walking part and not even the young ones could keep up her pace! She was a blast and a special person to be with and around. I know that she will be missed so much by everyone. Missy and Kelly, I pray that there will be strength with you and that there has been over the past week. I know she loved you both so much and her "granbabies" were the best thing that ever happened to her.
Love to you and your family.

I met both Mamie and Rob through my prior boss and was lucky enough to keep in touch with her thoughtout the years. She will be deeply missed and thought of with a smile. I remember going over to her house and her showing me Rob and Marisol's wedding video. She was so proud to show it off. She knew every inch of that video and when a part came up that she did not want me to miss, she was sure to tell me. She watched that video with love and tears in her eyes. Mamie loved her family and friends and will never be forgotten. Until we meet again.

Mamie - You sure knew how to make a lot of pots of coffee. I'll never forget the weekend in Clearwater with the beach gals. Dancin' and laughin'!! You offered me advice that remained with me. I'm so happy I had the chance to experience "Mamieisms" personally. Beach Gal weekends will never be the same, but you will be with us in spirit!!! Here's to you, Mamie.

What a beautiful service and tribute to a woman I called "friend." I am sorry you had the flu and could not go to Willie with Paul and I a couple of weeks ago. We all met at your favorite bar Bobby G's last night and the Mamieisms were flying. Rob and Missy she talked about you both all of the time. She was so proud of her family. Rest in peace Mamie-you were definitely one of a kind. We will all miss you girl!

Whomever reads this know that Mamie was a wonderful person. She touched my life and we kept in touch over the year I knew her. I was leaving Virginia and the only home I ever knew to begin a new life in Florida. Mamie had been the acting House Director of ADPi for a few months. She had everything in place for me and made the transition as smooth as Mamie knew how. The first night I cried and she sympathized with me. I went to Wal-Mart for a couple things and the next thing I knew I was playing dominos. I then got the 3am wafflehouse meal, with her in her tee shirt and leggings. The next day she took me for a pedicure and I so enjoyed it. She slept on the couch in the living room of what was now my house suite and helped me settle in. She showed me such concern and stayed with me till she thought she could leave. She told me to trust myself and my instincts. She told me to brake the bounds and that I had no limits, leaving me a bear that said that. We shared many a game of dominos, lots of conversation and most of all compassion for each of our many problems. When she needed a hug, I was there. When I needed one, she was there. I will never , never forget how she took me in, a lost, misplaced soul and taught her a job. I had never worked in 28 years of marriage, was going though a nasty separation and had just had surgery for the 5 time. She was my grace and my life line for a while. I will remember her fondly all my life. Thank you Kelly and Missy for your wonderful mother. She truly is a shinning light and now she is free to dance among the stars. To guide us to better places. To watch over all she's loves and with a pleasure that I know makes her smile. Her laughter will fill the heavens and if you listen close, you will hear her.
All my deepest sympathy to all of you,
In loving memory of Mamie,
Deborah Lilly , House Director of ADPi

Words can not express the true feelings generated by a loss, so I wont even attempt to try. I too have experienced such a loss. I can say that during these troublesome times, you will feel alone and betrayed, but you can find peace in clinging to loved ones and friends still here. Allow those capable to guide you through this very difficult process. For your mom is still with you no matter what you do. Thoughts and prayers to all of you. I only wish I could help you through this by easing the pain and sorrow you each are experiencing, as for Kelly has helped me through a lot in my life. Now comes the night that Mamie suffers no more. Love and prayers to Kelly and Family. In deepest sympathy,

When I was thinking about my memories of Mamie and what I should write, I thought of one word..."beige". Back in the mid 80's I first met Mamie in a project we worked on together. It was a tough, demanding, stressful project that had everyone at their wits end. One night when things were looking real bad in the project, Mamie told us of this great joke where the punch line was one word "beige". The whole team roared with laughter when she gave the punch line. Some of us (including me), were laughing so hard we were in tears. It was exactly what we all needed, a laugh that let us all release the tensions we were under and put a big smile on our faces.
Mamie, thanks for all the laughter and warm memories of knowing such a wonderful person as you. You will always be in my heart.
My thoughts and prayers for Kelly, Misti, their families, and all who will miss Mamie.
