Manuela Fernandez Obituary

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend, Manuela Lazarin Fernandez, 80, of La Union left her dwelling place on earth and entered eternal life to be with her heavenly Father Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 25, 1932 in La Union to Carlos and Sofia Lazarin. Mrs. Fernandez retired from the Community Action Agency as a social worker after 32 years of service and was a member of the Catholic Church. Those left to mourn her passing include her loving husband, Miguel Fernandez, Jr. of the family home; two sons, Charlie and Victor Fernandez; a daughter, Mary Lou Rodríguez all of La Union. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, Rosendo Rodriguez (Michael Montoya), April Rodriguez and spouse Florencio Pacheco, Irene Rodriguez, Richard Rodriguez, Diana Rodriguez and spouse Noel Saenz, Joshua Fernandez, Sybil Fernandez and Steve Webb; 12 great grandchildren, Gabriella and Jasmine "Peanut" Pacheco, Elijah and Matthew Rodriguez, Hazel and Britney Saenz, Angelica, Amanda and Aaliyah Rodriguez, Genesis Fernandez, Michael Malachai and Matthew Morales. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, David Fernandez and her siblings, Elias and Nicho Lazarin, and Guillermina Medina. Recitation of the holy rosary will be held Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at 9 a.m. in Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 1320 Mercantil Ave. in La Union where the memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Inurnment of cremains will be private and take place at a later date.
