Marie Taggart Obituary

Marie passed peacefully in Costa Mesa, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands Jay C. Perrin and Tag Taggart. She is survived by her four daughters: Linda (Sal), Susan (Erik), Nancy (Larry), JoJo (Carl), three grandchildren and their families: Paul, Michelle and Michaela and three great grandsons: Ace, Alec and Miles. "Grandma Ree" will always be remembered. Marie was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa and moved to Los Angeles in 1927. Most of her married life was spent in Balboa, where she became an accomplished plein aire artist. Her work also includes mixed media, basket weaving, tiki masks and Indian inspired walking sticks and dream catchers. She won several mixed media awards over the years. Marie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, church community, reading and painting. We will miss her love of life, sense of humor, and for her love of family and friends. Memorial service will be held at the Presbyterian Church of the Covenant, 2850 Fairview Road, Costa Mesa, CA 92626 at 2:00pm on Saturday, November 18, 2017
