Mary THOMPSON Obituary

THOMPSON, Mary Register, 81 of Riverview, Fla., passed away peacefully on January 29, 2013 following a long illness. Mary was born on September 13, 1931 in Slocomb, Alabama. After moving to Tampa, Florida around 1947, Mary met and married her husband of over 50 years, William Alvin Thompson. She is preceded in death by her husband, W. A. Thompson; son, William T. Thompson; and daughter, Dorothy Thompson-Greene. She is survived by sons, Gene Thompson (Kathy) and Jimmy Thompson (Linda); step-daughters, Shirley Smith and Katherine Bowers; brother, Henry Register (Babel); and sister, Mini Mae Riddel; as well as many, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held 6-8 p.m., Friday, February 1, 2013 at Stowers Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013 at the Clair-Mel City First Assembly of God.
