HINGSTON Raymond Henry 8.12.1944 - 27.4.2018

It is with great sadness that on the 27th April, 2018, we said farewell to Ray. Loved and loving husband of Kathleen. Wonderful and proud father and father in law of Skye and Damien Hammersley, Daina, Martin and Katerina, and Kent.

We love you dad

Adoring and adored poppy of Cale, Ruben, Jai, and Jemma. Loved and loving son of Cliff and Leila (both dec.). Brother of Yvonne Howard, Terry, and Brian. Loved and loving son-in-law of Len and Ida Hubbard (both dec.). Brother-in-law to Gail (dec.) and Maurice Hill, Kay (dec.), Jeanette and Denzil Munday, Suzanne and Kevin Coy, Lynn (dec.) and Robert Innes, and Phillip and Allison. Special brother-in-law to Janice (dec.), and Maureen. Loving uncle of all his nephews and nieces.

Thank you to Dr Maduranga Wickramsinghe, Dr Axel Durieux (LGH), the fabulous girls from the oncology unit (MCH), the doctors and nurses at MCH and the Community Care and Palliative Care staff.

We'll go no more

a roaming.

Dad, sleep peacefully. You are in no more pain. I know you will look over us and your little boys. Thank you for everything. We will miss you, love Skye, Damien, Cale, Ruben, Jai, and Jemma.

Poppy, thank you for teaching us to count, ride our bikes and for loving us. We will love you forever and never forget you. Love your little boys, Cale and Ruben.

See you next year.

'Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday'...

Be brave, you told me Dad. I can, as now I know I will never walk alone. Then at those special occasions yet to come, I will feel your hand reach out for mine, so we can dance another time, Daina.

Dad, your battle has ended. The final siren has blown. Your strong hands that held us and guided us grew weak but your spirit remained strong. We will miss your jokes, silly sayings and cheeky ways. We will especially miss your quick wit and intelligence. Thank you for everything.

We will never

forget you.

Love always, Martin and Kat.
