Rodney Williams, 70, of Lake Limestone, formerly of Lacy Lakeview, passed away Monday, Dec. 10, 2012. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at Moore Cemetery in Chalk Bluff with the Rev. Lori Cotton officiating.
Rodney was born Feb. 23, 1942, in West Union, W.Va., to Cincil and Mabel (Goodwin) Williams. On July 15, 1966, he married the former Patsy Daily.
A machinist by trade, Rodney worked at Ultramation, Inc. for 31 years. He coached Little League and was a volunteer fireman in Lacy Lakeview, as well as serving on Lacy Lakeview's City Council. Rodney's favorite times were spent at the lake with his family and friends cooking out barbecue, singing karaoke, and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel Williams; his father, Cincil Williams of West Virginia; and Buzz Williams, his best four-legged friend in life.
Survivors include his wife, Patsy Darlene Williams of Jewett; sons, Jerry Don Williams and wife, Brandi, of Leroy, and Ricky Lynn Williams of Robinson; grandsons, Danny and Bobby Williams of Leroy, and Brandon Williams of Lacy Lakeview; granddaughter, Brittany Williams of Robinson; brothers, Maurice Williams of Florida, and Terry Williams of West Virginia; and sister, Madine Dickerson of West Virginia.
The family would like to offer special thanks for the help and support of so many friends in the Waco and Lake Limestone area.

We're so sorry to hear of your loss. I can still see Rodney on the front of the barge pulling out his tape measure as we approached the twin bridges and said "piece of cake we've got a 1/2 inch on both sides"
