Dear Ellen, Susan, Paul, Nancy and Gretchen. Your Mother was my Godmother, and since we were babies we grew up together. Your Dad was my Dad's oldest friend. It was great to visit with you and see the great turn out for your Dad. He was a funny guy, who I remember as always being a lot of fun. The memories are many and I miss both your Parents. They are now all sitting on the porch in the sky, laughing and having a great time. Please feel free to stop by and visit the Train Station and my parents house. The years have gone by very fast, but it was like yesterday we were all eating melting ice cream in the photo studio as little children. I have the advertisement and will scan and send to Gretchen.

This man changed my life 32 years ago by being a Teacher at Buffalo Vocational Technical Center. Because of Mr. Hoffman I have been in the building trade all my life. I wish I could have told him that. My deepest simpathy.

I read about your dad's passing today and was very sad until I started reminiscing about all the funny situations we have been in with him. My memory of all of us (including Greta) packed into the VW bus headed to the Point and laughing all the way made me smile. I'll keep all those happy times in my heart, as I know you all will.
Love you all!

Dear Ellen,Scott,Brendan,Nicholas,Katie,Paul,Susan,Gretchen,Nancy, all, I wish I could be there today. I know there will be many people to support you and I will be visiting in September. I can't wait to see you then. I am sure you are handling this as well as expected.

What a great man your father/grand father/great grandfather was. I am and was very proud to be part of his family. He was just so cool!!! I love that he would parallel down a ski slope even at 70 years old, passing me by in the process. He did well, so many things that I want to do and work on doing, but do not do as well as he. What a great craftsman and knowledgeable man he was. The energy that he brought to life will live on and support us forever. We are blessed by that energy every day of our lives weather he is with us in body or not. But I will miss him regardless. No doubt he and my dad and Phil are renewing their friendship in heaven right now with Rita and Marie at their side.

I have so many memories...The Yacht Club, Dad doing his impression of the Point Abino Road Monster, sleeping on the yacht both in the driveway while he was building it(getting itchy from fiberglass) and in Canada when finished. He and your Mom. All four girls in one bedroom so he built the addition on the house. Wonderful man, wonderful Dad. Hope he is shaking my Dad's hand now. Barb Frazier

Ellen, Susan, Paul, Nancie and Gretchen-
So sorry to hear about your dad's passing. My thoughts here in Florida are with all of you. It would great to see all of you again and reiminise about all the great times our two families had together. It seemed as the best part of the week for our dads was sitting on the Yacht Club porch, telling story after story. I can hear your mom saying, "Oh, Ronald!" And of course my mother egging him on. Miss your parents and mine. All great characters.
Warmest Regards,

To the Hoffman's, where do I begin. Your dad was a brother to my dad. Your family and my family were one. The years have past, but the memories have not. Deeply sorry for your loss. Your Dad and Mom are now together with my Mom and Dad. You had so many great years with him, he got to see his children get married, have children, and now great grandchildren. Not many parents live a life as full as your dad. I think about your family often and hope all is well and the memory of your dad/family will live on forever. Godspeed Ron!
