Tamera S. Glasgow 1964—2018
Tamera S. Glasgow, 53, of Dakota, IL, passed away at home surrounded by her family on Sunday, July 22, 2018. She was born September 17, 1964, in Salt Lake City, UT; the daughter of Richard and Sharon (Carter) Gartman. She was a graduate of East Rockford High School. Tamera married Roy Glasgow on May 15, 1999. She had worked as a caregiver for home health care. She also was a dedicated and loving caregiver to her family, which was very important to her. She enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles. She will be remembered as a big hearted and caring person who was always there for anyone who needed her. She is survived by her husband, Roy Glasgow of Dakota; parents, Richard and Sharon Gartman of Rockford; sons, Dave (Christal) Hemmingson of Dakota and Jeffrey Hemmingson of Rockford; daughters, Amy (Matthew) Anderson of Rockford and Gabriella Glasgow of Dakota; grandchildren, Elijah Hemmingson, Maddison Anderson, Kyleigh Anderson, Jeremiah David Hemmingson, and Brooklynn Anderson; sisters, Jeanne (Chuck) Tatarinowicz of Rockford, Phyllis (Albert) Campbell of Rockford, Lora (Bob) Angelini of LaSalle, IL, Brenda (John) Affolter of Rockford, Jennifer Gartman of Rockford, Jennifer Gartman of Rockford and Jessica Gartman of IL; and brother, Joseph (Lani) Gartman of IL. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Norman and Delores Carter and sister, Rhonda Tell.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 25th, at Walker Mortuary in Freeport. There will be a visitation before the service beginning at 11 a.m. Interment will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. A memorial fund has been established in her name. Our Sweet Tammy, you have left us much too soon. We love you more than words can say. Our hearts are broken, but relieved that your suffering is done. Roy and family we haven't ment but I'm Tammy's cousin Marie Gartman Janosi. I wish I could have gotten up there to see her. She was a very special person. We would talk on line so many times just to keep up with each others lives and familys. She will be missed so much by everyone who knew and loved her. I'm so sorry for your loss you all have a Special Angel to watch over you.
