Mr. McGaffey, best teacher ever..period. Often told my kids and others about him. He 'taught' in a way that very few really do, by pressing his students into doing things they didn't think they were capable of. If you got an "attaboy!" from him, you KNEW it had been earned, not flippantly handed out. Real life lessons. I miss hearing those from-the-gut laughs of his when he told a story! Thank you, sir..and RIP.

Mr McGaffey was my high school American history and government teacher at IF. I loved history because of him. So interesting that I just lost my mother that lived in Idaho Falls at 89 just a few days ago. I loved his ability to talk with a tooth pick at the corner of his mouth. Cecile Baker Christensen

What a loss! A fine guy who greatly influenced my life! Took him backpacking for a week in the Copper Basin area of Idaho. Man, he had a fine time!
