Betty Matilda Morgan, 86, of Rigby, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2017 in Rigby. She was born Nov. 27, 1931 in Roberts, Idaho, the daughter of David Osborne Glenn and Margaret Virginia Bagley Glenn.
Betty grew up and attended schools in Garfield and Rigby, Idaho. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She married Glen LeRoy Morgan on March 2, 1950 in Garfield, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on March 2, 1951. She served in the Relief Society as a teacher and with the Humanitarian Aid.
Betty farmed and ran a dairy with her family in the Rigby area. She was the recipient of the Farm Bureau Woman of the Year. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and won many awards for her handy work. She accepted everyone as family.
Betty is survived by her children; Marla (Ron) Bezold of Laveen, Arizona, Karen Kay Morgan of Sandy, Utah, Colene (Roger) Stratford of Clayton, California and Tony Lynn (Kolleen) Morgan of Rigby, Idaho. A sister; N. Shari Glenn of Lawndale, California. She had six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen; her parents; a son, Monty Morgan; a sister, Ellen; two brothers, Ted LeRoy and David Vaughon; and a grandson, Heath Bezold.
A funeral service will be held Monday, December 4, at 11 a.m. in the Garfield LDS 6th Ward Chapel (71 North 3700 East, Rigby, ID). The family will meet with friends prior to services on Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the Annis Little Butte Cemetery under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel. Condolences can be shared at www.eckersellfuneralhome.com.

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear sweet mother. She is a sweet dear lady that I will hold in my heart always. She has always had a smile and a giving heart to everyone.
