Phyllis, I just heard about your son's passing. I am so sorry and wanted to send you my sympathies. I have a son that same age and I can't even imagine how difficult this loss must be. Thankfully you have a knowledge of the gospel and the assurity that you will see him again. His family and yours will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Just lost a friend last night to cancer...he was only 39 years old... Waaay too young to die and with two young boys that still needed their dad....I was just motorcycle riding with him 6 months ago and he was hell on wheels...I've raced for years and I can spot a natural when I see one...oh how he loved it he took us up the side of a mountain or up a crevice in the mountain full of rocks.... he road up them like he was on flat land...of course he was on a 450 and me a 230 but it wasn't entirely about the power he just had fantastic balance and skill and absolutely loved the challenge...me not so much but I did it and didn't complain, well too much anyway I didn't want to be a princess out there on that bike he wouldn't invite me back LOL Oh how I loved to watch him ride I just knew he had a smile the entire time he loved it so much!...One day out of the clear blue he got sick and about 6 months later the cancer won..just a very unusual cancer that strikes out of no where and takes you down fast...I was so in hopes that he could beat it but it was a very very aggressive cancer....I will miss him and our rides and our talks...he was a man of faith and a man that took care of his family and was very dedicated to his work. When Shawn would talk of his mom and dad and siblings his face would light up he was very proud of his family....I am sad Shawn wont get to see his boys grow to be men....and for his family, I cant imagine what his mom must be going through...us moms consider our children our babies forever no matter their age and want to protect them from harm forever...there will be a lot on his wife now and my heart aches for those boys...my boys lost their dad when they were young, its so final and so unfair. Shawn I admired you...you were so smart and so focused and you loved your job and your family and the snow and riding and your faith...I am only glad that you are no longer in pain Rest In Peace Shawn you will be missed by many I will miss you and our rides
