Barbara J. (Hartman) Hill, 84, wife of the late Ralph P. Hill, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Chestnut Knoll, Boyertown. She was a former resident of Lower Frederick Twp. Mrs. Hill was born on November 8, 1933, in West Lawn, Berks Co., to the late J. Edwin and Edith F. (Hill) Hartman. She was a graduate of Collegeville – Trappe High School. Before retiring, Mrs. Hill worked for the Collegeville – Trappe Joint Public Works Dept. and Collegeville Flag & Mfg. Co. Mrs. Hill was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Schwenksville. She was a longtime volunteer at the Coatesville VA Medical Center. Mrs. Hill is survived by her son, Robert D. Hill, Winston – Salem, NC, and his girlfriend, Dustta Haines; her granddaughter, Brittany Hill; her brothers, J. Edwin “Jack,” husband of Mary Lou (Rehberg) Hartman, Elverson, and George L. Hartman, Wilmington, DE; her step-daughter, Donna (George), wife of Thomas Henry; and her step-granddaughter, Jennifer Henry. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 17th, at Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Daniel M. Schaefer, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Augustus Lutheran Cemetery, Trappe. Friends may call from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, Saturday, church. Memorial contributions may be made to Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 311 2nd St., Schwenksville, PA 19473; or Coatesville VA Med. Ctr., Volunteer Svcs., Bldg. 5, 1400 Blackhorse Hill Rd., Coatesville, PA 19320-2096. Arrangements are by Holcombe Funeral Home, Inc., Trappe.

Cyndi, Please accept our deepest sympathy. I met your Aunt Barb many years ago when she visited our home in Trappe. She was a delight, telling me stories of her father Eddie as proprietor of the grocery store that occupied our building. She was kind and gave me pictures of her growing up in Trappe.
