John Kamerdze Obituary

John A. “Jake” Kamerdze, 94, formerly of Phoenixville, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born on September 20, 1923 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, he was a son of John and Rose (Cypronoski) Kamerdze. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Navy during World War II in both European and Pacific Theatre of Operations. Jake worked for 35 years in the Quality Control department Firestone Tire Company before retiring. He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption R.C. Church, Phoenixville. Mr. Kamerdze is survived by five nephews: John E. Morrison; Joseph J. Kamerdze, Jr., John Kamerdze, David Hubbell, Edward Hubbell; and niece, Eileen Conte; He was pre-deceased by siblings: Loretta Morrison, Joseph Kamerdze, Rose Yaworski and Leona Hubbell. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary of the Assumption R.C. Church, 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 10 am. Officiating will be Rev. John Hutter. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 - 10 am. Burial will be held in the adjoining cemetery. Condolences may be made by visiting www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell - Ennis - Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Phoenixville.
