Memories of Charlie Jefferson will be everyday for the rest of my life!

Mark, Chantel, Marya, and The Jefferson Family,

It took me 5 months to find out about this. I was attending the KCU Medical College here in Kansas City, MO and relocated from Pittsburgh, PA.
I will always have happy memories of Charlie and Pynette when living in Poughkeepsie, NY. I can remember I first saw Charlie and Pynette in 1974, when Mark and Marya were newly arrived students at Hagan Spackenkill School and just moved to: Poughkeepsie, NY and school district. That was Mrs. Ruth Hart's fifth grade class.
I can remember the days when we were in Hagan School, your Dad came to the science fair, picked us up from the Boy Scouts Camping weekend, and all the time coming over and seeing your Mom and chatting on the phone for advice for numerous of hours.
Charlie would joke around," You don't need another mother!"
Well, I remembered the house at Meadowview Drive in Poughkeepsie, NY and I still have photographs when Charlie and Pynette came to my graduation at Syracuse University in May 1992.
I will always remember when Charlie and Pynette came to my late mom's funeral service at St. Martins Catholic Church back in Poughkeepsie, NY and came over the house in Hagantown that night to see my family.
I can remember Your mom Pynette who was very good with fabrics just like a tailor and seamstress fixed and got my newly bought trousers ready for my late mom's funeral service.
I would always appreciate the time that Charlie spent with me and attending to my late Dad's funeral service and what he did for me.
I can remember your Dad Charlie would mention:" The days we were in Boy Scouts, David KoKo and we walked all over HaganTown: King George Drive .... to sell light bulbs as a fundraiser for the Boy Scout Troop. You guys were funny when you were little!" I will always remember Charlie's laughter and all the happy memories.
I last saw Charlie back in 2006 and 2007.that was ten to eleven years ago. We had dinner with Mark in Poughkeepsie, NY. The years went swiftly by and I saw the effects of old age set in, that Charlie had to use a cane when walking.
I really don't like and have to accept the inevitable of old age and the end of life. However, I am glad to commemorate and pay tribute to a life that is passed.
Memories are forever, even though a life is done! I will always have happy memories of Charlie Jefferson! In the afterglow, I will when outdoors on a bright sunny day taking a walk or standing at a attention, the tears will turn dry and smiles of happy memories of Charles Jefferson!

I worked with Charles at IBM and he and his family were wonderful. He and his wife accompanied me to see Cab Calliway perform on New York. So very sorry to hear of his passing
