We moved to first street, up from Russell last July. We found a bag of apples on the porch and later found out Gordon had dropped them to all his neighbors. He walked every night in the spring. We met and I asked tons of Beacon questions. He told about the sand lot, the ski area and described how everything looked. He told who lived where, about the old neighborhood and I was grateful to listen.
I though about going over and drinking my coffee just to sit and talk about history. I was a bit too timid and unfortunately I wont be able to listen anymore.
Gordon seemed like an amazing guy who lived a great long life. To the family, I am sorry for your loss. -Matt and Romina Robinson

Glenn and Mark,
So sorry to see that Uncle Gordon passed away. Have fond memories of your mom and him. Always such a nice guy. Haven't seen you in forever, but my deepest sympathies.
Love, Janice Totten Fitch

Gordon Ticehurst, A man who always had a story, was fun to listen to and called me his "shirt tail " cousin. We also went to a couple of post card shows, which he loved. When I got into my family genealogy in the 90's, I found out that I really related to the Beacon Ticehurst's families. You were on our list of people to visit in September when we were coming up to Beacon,to see you and pick out our jugs from Beacon you had for us,we will surely miss you and that great smile. Rest in peace our shirt tail cousin and also our great friend. Love, Bruce and Mary Ann Wolfe
