My 7th grade industrial arts teacher 1961 at Haviland Jr. High School. I've thought of him often through the years, he was very instrumental in me becoming a very responsible adult and business man. I'm sure he was to other students also. He shared his memories and photos of his paratrooper days with his classes and made the stories come alive. I will not forget him. J. Peter Stofa, Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

I believe that I was the only girl in my industrial arts class at Arlington Jr. High and Mr. Hatch was one of my favorite teachers. I had zero knowledge and with his patience, answering all of my many questions and with my always asking for his help, for which he always gave, I created heirlooms that I treasure. He was one of the best!

My condolences to the family. He added a skosh to my vocabulary, along with teaching me the proper use of tools.
