Joe was our family mailman, and he and Marion were my godparents, but really so much more. Joe was a pal. As a kid I would watch Yankee games with him, and I loved watching his softball games. Over the decades, one constant was that whenever we spoke there was always laughter. Joe was a gem a truly nice person. I will miss him.

Joe was a wonderful man. I had the distinct privilege of working with him at the U.S. Post Office in Poughkeepsie after I graduated from high school. I went to middle and high schools in Hyde Park with his sons, Robert and Ralph. It's no wonder that I liked them so much: they are wonderful men, just like their Dad.

Joe was the first person I met on Lakeview Avenue when dating my wife Christine (Burgin) Laibinis. I will always remember his smile, laugh, and friendly demeanor. He was such a genuine and caring person. He always asked about our boys, and treated them like they were his own grandchildren. We have all lost a wonderful human being. RIP Joe - you are missed.

To the Frisenda family's, I was saddened to hear today from my mom the passing of another neighbor on the street I grew up on. I miss having the conversations I had with Marion and Joe. Then after the Mrs passed he was beside himself. I still went to see him at least once a week. He was a great guy, never had a negative thing to say about anyone. He enjoyed life to its fullest and was very satisfied with what he achieved. Loved his family and friends, he was very grateful appreciative. It was an honor pleasure to have known him. My sincerest condolences to the families. Was hoping to get to see him this spring when I came to town to visit family and friends. Your going to be missed Joe. R.I.P. my friend.
