Heartfelt Thank Yous to those who responded and for passing on such wonderful thoughts and memories. To say her annual recitals involved the whole family would be an understatement. She really loved seeing her students perform, and cherished the relationships that lasted long after their lessons. I especially have great memories of a trip to LA with Mom and Dad when we met Betty-Jane and her husband. Jerry those days at Dominican Camp were memorable. How are you doing. We miss you Mom, but you and Dad have left a legacy most people can only dream of. Thanks for everything from Jim and the California Dukes

Mrs Duke was my first dance teacher!!! She encouraged me and the entire class to strive for greatness!!! Sorry to say that none of us did but the joy she imparted in us will never be forgotten!!! She is the first person who encouraged us and saw us for what and who we may become! We will all always carry her in our hearts ❤❤❤❤❤❤

My deepest condolences to Jim and Bob and all the family. Peg (always Mrs. Duke!) and the dance school were such an important part of my growing up. She was a wonderful teacher, caring friend and vital, good influence in a complicated time in my youth. I remember seeing her for the first time performing as "Pockets" at an event in the auditorium of Regina Coeli School. She, as ever, held the stage masterfully. Years of classes from age 9 to 18 in tap, then ballet and jazz ensued. I credit her with helping this shy kid gain whatever poise I now carry in public. Kindness, warmth, encouragement, showmanship, wisdom, faith, community service...these are the traits that come to mind when I think of her. I am forever grateful to have known Mrs. Duke and will always remember her with love and gratitude.
