RUGGIERI, JOSEPHINE ANGELINA (CALDAROLA)
91, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 9, 2021 surrounded by her loving daughters. She was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore Ruggieri.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late James and Grace (Casaburi) Caldarola.
Josephine was a graduate of Hope High School, Providence. She was a bookkeeper and worked for the John F. Allen Stone Importing Co., on Westminster St., in Providence and for the State of RI in the Department of Controller's Office until her retirement. She was a devoted communicant of St. Ann's Church. Josephine enjoyed reading, dancing and singing, and most of all, spending time with her beloved children and grandchildren. She was a loving and supportive mother and grandmother. Family was everything to her and it brought her the most joy in her life.
She is survived by her loving children, Marie Ruggieri Kaminski, Joanne Ruggieri Geruso and her husband Anthony and Linda A. Ruggieri, Esq. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Rory and Tara Temkin and Matthew and John Kaminski. She is the sister of the late Agatha LaVecchio, Celia Covellone and Michael Caldarola.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, January 14th at 10am at St. Ann Church, 280 Hawkins St. Providence. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to: St. Ann's Church Memorial Fund, 2 Russo St., Providence, RI 02904 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
