Chambersburg, PA - Delores Piper, age 87, of Chambersburg, PA, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018, at Providence Place. Mrs. Piper was born February 20, 1931, in Scranton, PA, the daughter of Kenneth and Nancy Fritz. She worked in the business office for the Borough of Chambersburg for over forty years. She was at one point chosen for the "Who's Who" in Chambersburg.
Surviving is her beloved husband Melvin Piper, Jr. and a nephew, John Grove.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at 10 AM in Lincoln Cemetery, 990 Lincoln Way East, Chambersburg, PA, where Pastor Murray Stevens will officiate. Arrangements are entrusted to the Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Chambersburg, PA.

Dear Mr. Piper: I knew Dee when I worked at the Borough a number of years ago. She always had a smile and kind words whenever we spoke. She was one of the sweetest and dearest ladies I have had the privilege and honor of knowing. May God surround you at this difficult time.
