1952 - 2021 Handsome, thoughtful, with a warm wonderful smile and a great sense of humor, Barry Morris passed away from complications due to cardiac arrest and Myelofibrosis on March 1, 2021. He grew up in Eugene, Oregon, the third of seven brothers and one sister. There was always mayhem, love and a lot of pranks that continued even as the family grew into adults. The Morris legacy is to make each other laugh out loud - usually at the expense of fellow family members! Barry excelled in sports and was good at everything he tackled. His competitiveness contributed to his success in the business world. He worked as a Regional Director of Franchise Sales for Cendant and Choice Hotels International and made many friends and admirers along the way. He met his wife Jan at Kimo's Restaurant in Lahaina, Maui on St. Patrick's Day, 1977. They lived there for 5 years, moving to Colorado and Manhattan Beach, Ca. before marrying in 1988 and settling in the South Bay. His ashes will be scattered with Jan's on Maui where they first met and will always remain together. Aloha au ia oe. Though the past several years took a toll on him physically - life could not diminish his indefatigable spirit. He was never negative - always appreciative and loving to his wife, friends, family and the Doctors who treated him. Barry is survived by his wife, Jan; brothers Chris, Geoff (Laura), Jon (Theresa), Paul (LaVerna); sister Susan (Scott); Joanne Costa; brother-in-law Brian (Sarah) and nieces and nephews, Abi, Sophie, Nate, Eli, Ketan, Jack and Sam. A Mass and Celebration of Life will be held later this year. Donations can be made in Barry's memory to the Southern CA. Bulldog Rescue, P.O. Box 10313, Santa Ana, CA 92711

Barry and I had a 100 conversations at the Bay Club over the years. We both had countless sports injuries and we commiserated on that, and work, travel, sports and more. He was a gentle spirit and always interested in what I was doing and my kids and I'll miss him very much. I don't have Jan's number and we only met a few times, but I'd like to personally give her a call to let her know what Barry meant to me. My cell is 310-995-8000 if anyone can text me..thank you.

Met and had Wonderful years with Jan and met Barry when they dated. I met my now husband 8 months later and Jan was my Matron of honor and I was hers! Know Barry for years we would go see both Barry and Jan in L A whenever we could after they moved from Maui. Barry was always upbeat and I enjoyed joking with him every time I saw him. Will miss his laughter and his presence when meeting up with Jan. We know that Barry will forever remain in Jan's heart. Me Ke Aloha Pumehana. The Kear Ohana

Barry was my neighbor. He contributed to a fun loving, cohesive bond on Warmside Ave with a smile and decency. He is and always will be missed.

My husband and I only had the pleasure of being in Barry’s company a handful of times, but that is all it took to know he was “one of the good guys” A gentle spirit with an open heart and great sense of humor! What was most notable was Barry’s genuine interest in what others had to say. The world today has too many talkers and not enough listeners. Hope you’re listening now, Barry
