Bob (Robert) Wallace January 30, 1944 - April 24, 2021 Bob passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest on Saturday, April 24. Bob was born in Wichita, KS on January 30, 1944. Bob was raised in Torrance by his parents Bert and Gloria Richardson. He was a great athlete and All Star baseball player at North Torrance High School, graduating in 1961. Bob met the love of his life Shairl Wallace (Goodwin) at a church picnic playing softball. They were married in 1966. Bob graduated from Azusa Pacific College in 1969 and was an ordained minister for Church of God (Anderson, IN) serving churches in California and Oregon. In 1983, Bob retired from full time ministry and became a Book Buyer in the Christian Book Industry until 2009. He served as interim pastor to churches in Southern California through 2016 and continued to lead Bible studies, even remotely through the pandemic. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Tamara. He is survived by his wife, Shairl, of 54 years, his daughters Wendy (Roy Wright) and Joy (Brian Musick), grandchildren Reagan and Lydia Wright, and his sister Amy Flaskerud. Bob was the light of Christ to all he met. He loved the Lord, his family, and baseball. Bob's childhood hero was Mickey Mantle and always cheered for the Yankees. A Celebration of Life service is set for 1:00 pm on June 11, 2021, at Rolling Hills Covenant Church, North Campus, 2221 Palos Verdes Drive North, Rolling Hills Estates, CA 90274.

This picture depicts exactly the lover and warmth that was Bob. Always had a smile on his face and a kind word or a funny comment. Love having him as a Bible Study leader and pastor. He will be missed but heaven just gained an angel. Prayers and comfort to Shairl and his family.
