Catherine (Sullivan) Mandich 1928 - 2021 With love and sadness in our hearts we share with everyone that Catherine (Sullivan) Mandich was taken to heaven on January 30th, 2021 at the age of 92 years and 4 months. Catherine is survived by her husband of 69 years; Stanley Mandich, her (3) children, Christopher, Peter, Mary and their families; (7) grandchildren: Angela, David's Spirit, Crystal, Patrick, Ryan, Claire, Samantha and (3) great grandchildren, Casey, Carissa and Charlotte. Catherine (Sullivan) Mandich was born and raised in San Pedro, one of six children. She spent most of her adult life in Los Alamitos and Long Beach and the last ten years in Oregon. Catherine loved golf, boating and spending time with her family on Catalina Island. Her faith in God, Our Blessed Mother Mary and the Holy Rosary was strong and unyielding. She and Stanley were Eucharistic ministers for over 30 years in the Catholic Church at both St. Hedwig's and St. Bartholomeus. Catherine was a member of the Assistance League; she helped young abandoned girls with pregnancies and various charities throughout her life. Catherine battled vascular strokes and cancer for years but eventually succumbed to COVID-19. She passed with grace and peace with Stanley by her side. The family is planning a small private memorial at All Souls Mortuary out of concern for the national COVID-19 emergency. They look forward to celebrating Catherine's life publicly with her friends and family at a later date. We will miss you mom; your kind and friendly smile will forever be etched in our memories. Gods Peace and Love always.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. We always enjoyed being around Cathy and missed her very much when you moved to Oregon. Eddie passed away on Christmas Eve so I am very familiar with the sad feelings of a great loss. May the Blessed Mother hold you close. Kathy Hughes

I'm so sorry to hear about Catherine's passing. She was such a sweet and kind person. I used to see her at St. Bart's and I know my parents, Frank and Carolyn, were very fond of her and spoke so highly of her. We all missed her when they moved up north. I'll be thinking of you all during this difficult time.
