It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of James R. Hall. James passed away from Covid-19 complications on March 9, 2021. Beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, he is survived by his eldest sister, Karen Hall-Miletich (Bruce), twin sister, Janice Hall, and younger brother, Steven Hall (Lisa), two nephews, four nieces, countless friends and loved ones. Born February 2, 1946, he was raised in Granada Hills, California. He was among the second graduating class at Granada Hills High School. He joined the U.S. Navy in 1966 and served his country aboard the U.S.S. Bayfield (1967) and the U.S.S. Princeton (1968) completing tours in the Vietnam Theater. He was a member of I.A.T.S.E., Local 728, making his career as a lighting technician, best boy and other positions on many studios and productions in Southern California. After he retired, in time he found his way to the seaside community of San Pedro where he enjoyed his remaining days to the fullest. Jimmy will be laid to rest at Glen Haven Memorial Park alongside his parents in Sylmar, California. A celebration of his life will be held at the Granada Hills V.F.W. Post 2323 on Friday, April 23, 2021 at 11:30 a.m. His memory and spirit will live on in the hearts of so many who loved him.
