1/25/56 - 2/19/21 It is with great sadness we announce our dear Louie was called to Heaven suddenly on 2/19/2021. Louie was born in San Pedro and lived his whole life in the South Bay. He attended Mary Star Elementary and then Fermin Lasuen. From Fermin he went to Bishop Montgomery High School where he met his sweetheart, Teri Burger, who would later become his wife. Lou was a star football player in his high school years. He was awarded a full athletic scholarship to attend UCLA and proudly became a Bruin. Lou married Teri in 1980 and together they had two beautiful daughters, Lindsey and Erica. Louie was later blessed with one of his greatest joys in life, Bradley, his grandson who is now 4 years old. He owned Lou Mascola Landscape, a successful business he built from the ground up. He was hardworking at everything he did including golf, which became one of his favorite passions. Genuine and charismatic, Lou brightened every room and conversation he entered. His playful, funny, and light-hearted attitude brought joy to all his relationships. He was kind, caring, and loved by so many people. He loved his family dearly and is survived by his parents, Lou and Theresa; his wife of 40 years Teri; daughters Lindsey, with Ryan and grandson Bradley, and Erica; and his siblings Denise and Mike Foley, Janine Mascola, and John and April Mascola. He was "Uncle Louie" to Matt, Kevin, Niki, and Mikey Foley; Jennifer, Danielle, and Melissa Hendriks; Zoe, Sofie, and Marco Mascola. He is also survived by a countless number of friends. He was a one of a kind person whose passing has left an immense void in our lives. He will be missed dearly. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
