We are Michael and Mary Prestia. We've known Teri through St. James Catholic Church school as our daughter, Michelle (Prestia) Oropesa was in the same class as her and Butch's daughter, Kelly. Mike and I offer our prayers and condolences to her entire family.

To the family, I am so very sorry for your loss. I'm sending love and blessings to you all! Teri was my first trainer at MB and I attribute my career's success and my vast knowledge of CLETS to Teri. To this day, when I log on, I use my username from MBPD, old habits die hard. Teri was always smiling, even when she would get upset, she couldn't get the smile off her face. Though I haven't seen her in many months, when we did see each other at training, we would catch up with our lives. Rest well my friend, we will continue on with fond memories in our hearts of our times together.
Love and Blessings,
Virginia

W e knew Teri and Butch through soccer when our children were young soccer players. She was devoted to her children and a wonderful person to be with. We are so sorry to hear of her passing but we know she had lots of love from family and friends in her life and that means so much to us in our lives. Our deepest sympathy to her beautiful family.

Teri was one of the rocks of the Manhattan Beach Police Department. As a new Officer in 2008, she was welcoming guiding, never making me feel silly or stupid for the many mistakes young Officers make. When a Rachael Parker passed, Teri was that rock that pushed others forward, including a favorite memory of passing out the recipe for Rachael's famous chocolate chip cookies.

My condolences to the family. She will be missed.

I will truly miss Teri. She had a beautiful heart and was a wonderful person. I will miss her laugh, comforting hugs and supportive motherly advice. I was truly blessed to work with her for 8 years. I will not forget the things she taught me like braiding a fish tail braid or how to bake a Texas sheet cake. May god bless all of you.

Terry, you were/are a wonderful, understanding mother. There was no denying the true love and support you had for your children. You were always so easy to talk to and one of the friendliest moms I have ever met. I always felt welcomed in your home. You were an amazing cook and you could always make me laugh. Any time I was having problems with something, you took my side and helped me work through them. Your family was so blessed to have you. I know in my heart you will be around watching your family and helping them along along the way. You have the kindest heart. Jimeigh always adored you. We both love you and miss you dearly. You are in the most amazing place you can be now. We will see you again someday.

Dear Gaitan Family,

I was fortunate and blessed to meet Teri and share in her life's journey as a coworker and friend. I was the recipient of so many of her wonderful talents through cooking, baking and decorating. The love and excitement she had for family could be seen displayed all over her work station. She will always be remembered as a strong fighter, never showing weakness. May God give her rest from her labor and continue to provide comfort, strength and peace of mind to your family during this time of sorrow and in the days ahead.
