Alan Robert Wright passed away at home on April 18, 2021, at the age of 67 years. Alan was born in Louisville, Kentucky on November 20, 1953.
Alan is preceded in death by his father, Billy Frank Wright, and mother, Lillian Traylor Wright. Alan is lovingly remembered by his son, Jeremiah Wright and wife, Joanne of Beaverton, Oregon; daughter, Jennifer Grablewski and husband, Michael of West Allis, Wisconsin; brother, Mark Wright and wife, Sharon of Missouri City, Texas; sister, Marsha Zimmermann and husband, Mark of Pearland, Texas; two grandchildren, a niece, and two nephews.
Alan moved to Belaire, Texas with his family as a child and graduated high school there. After attending Houston Baptist College, he married Cindy Gholson and moved to Tucumcari in 1980, where he started his family. He was Postmaster for several years, during which time, the community came to know and love him. He was very helpful to his customers and kept them laughing with his quick wit and sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
