Betty Sanders long time Tucumcari NM resident passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021. Betty was born in Clovis NM on September 6, 1934, to Grover Dickinson and Lady Mary McCormick Dickinson. She was the second of four children.
Betty was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Tom Dickinson and is survived by her sisters, Wynell Crook and Gail Feeney.
Betty attended Tucumcari High School and continued to remain active as a Rattler Reunion Board Member. She married Bob Sanders in 1949 and they were married until his death in 2005. Betty enjoyed her work as a business woman, managing State Farm Insurance along side her husband who was the State Farm Agent. Betty was also a member of Altrusa and the DOES at the BPO Elks Lodge in Tucumcari.
Always kind and gentle with deep, radiant and selfless love. Betty was the proud matriarch for her growing family. She was the devoted, adoring mother of two children.
She is survived by her son, Ronny Sanders and his wife, Gail as well as her daughter, Pamela Reeves and her husband, Lee. Betty will be missed by 6 grandchildren, Sara Morris of Clovis NM, Nicholas Reeves of Lubbock Texas, Nicole Pitts of Salt Lake City Utah, Ryan Reeves of Albuquerque NM, Stephanie Reeves of Phoenix AZ and Caleb Reeves of Portland OR. Furthermore, Betty is survived by 9 grandchildren, Julianne, Zoey, Zach, Katy, Tristan, Norah, Miles, Liberty and Clementine.
Services - Saturday May 8, 2021, at 10:30 AM in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery with interment following in the family plot of the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery
