Always enjoyed meeting Herman and Cissy when we'd run into them. I remember a party at their house, which was the first time I met them. So friendly, welcoming and fun. He will be missed by all!

I remember an exceptional man. My husband, Butch finally started to go to the doctor regularly when he met Herman. Visits were filled with interesting conversations on fishing, engineering and so much else.
When he made rounds at the hospital, he always had a joke or story and always took time to explain (with drawings and diagrams) any medical issues we nurses questioned. He was a good & jovial teacher.
When the ER was unable to help my daughter with intermittent pain, he said "bring her over to the house"' where, sure enough, he diagnosed the problem, advised watchful waiting, and he was right, it resolved on it's own. So many good memories......
You were larger than life but tender & honest. You are missed Herman.
