William J. Wilson Sr.

Cornwall on Hudson, NY
William "Bill" was born in Brooklyn NY but lived the majority of his life in Cornwall on Hudson.
Bill was a communication engineer for the Department of Army at West Point until his retirement. He also worked for Cornwall Telephone and Teleprompter Cable. In his retirement years Bill became a caretaker to many of the older stately homes on Storm King Mountain. This he did right up to his 92nd year.
Bill is survived by his daughter, Laurie and her husband, Tony Parmerter of Port Charlotte, FL; son, William "Billy" and his wife, Stacey of Cornwall on Hudson; his son, James "Jimmy" and his partner, Dana of Wappinger Falls and son, Robert and his wife, Ellen of North Carolina. He is also survived by five grandchildren: Jennifer, Stephen, Hunter, Jessica, Heather, and six great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid restrictions a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hudson Valley Funeral Home, Inc.

Bill was a wonderful man. I loved when he would come to my grandparents’ house and pull up the stool in the kitchen. He would fill in my grandma on the news of the mountain.

Such sad news, I'll always remember how well Billy treated me when I was a kid during the 1950s living at 187 Mountain Road...He was the best...RIP... Bill Wilson

Bill Was A Funny Guy , Had Coffee in The Deli In Cornwall On Hudson For Years And He Came In Every Morning , Then He Was Sitting At The Canterbury Inn Have Dinner Every time I Was Up From Florida For Many Years And Now There Will Be Two Places More To Sit Bill And Jim Left Us And I'am Very Sad , I Went To The Inn When Ever i Was Up from Florida To See Bill And Sit To Talk Awhile . God Bless Bill's Large Family And My He Now Rest In Peace .
