Fritz and Betty were blessings in my life, as are many others, by way of the wonderful Field family. I have missed Betty and will miss Fritz as well, and will always treasure the original painting he did just for me. My love and thoughts are with you all. Vina

Years ago we lived on Wisconsin Ave. across the street from Elmer's brother, Everett. We always remembered Elmer as a kind and true gentleman. It was always a pleasure to visit with him on his trips to Redding. We did not see him again after Everett passed away and sorry that we did not know that he had moved to Redding.

I'm writing this for my father, George Hruska., who passed away in 1998. He was a close friend of Fritz, and I remember going to the Ackerman house many years ago when we were having car trouble. I was quite young--it was probably in the 1950's. The house was a beautiful, and someone had a ham radio set up upstairs that fascinated me. I wish my father had known that Fritz was living in Redding, as I know they would have loved getting together once again.
