Met Bert in Oklahoma City as a bartender at Featherado's club. We became fast friends, although we disagreed completely at politics and NFL football. He was a liberal Democrat and Denver Broncos fan and I was a conservative Republican and fan of the Raiders. Our arguments were always fiery and fun and we enjoyed the jousts. We later lived across the street from each other in Norman, Oklahoma and hung out together for several years. Bert was always funny and amusing. I knew his ex wife Beverly and his 3 beautiful daughters. We lost touch when he moved to California but always would remember him as a true friend. RIP Bert. Peppermint Schnaaps all around! Condolences to Bev and the girls. Mike West

First Employee I hired, December 1, 1994, I loved this wonderful man, our very own gifted servant of the people, and wounded warrior, his "popeye" laughter piercing through the building, and my yelling back, "You're having WAYYY TOO MUCH fun in there, it's a tax appt!!", the Z car trips were epic, his storytelling even more so!

Good bye Bert, drive carefully my friend!
