I stayed with the wonderful Hixson family the summer of 67 while attending summer school at Chico State. I remember the kindness of Mr. and Mrs. Hixson, Lonna dealing with the summer's heat as she looked forward to her soon-to-be first-born and Ty. There were good times playing tennis and going night-time frog hunting with Ty and his friends. We never caught any frogs. In fact, we neither even saw nor heard any frogs! I'm sure they heard us coming. After that summer, I never saw Ty again; but, cherish the memories. He was truly a fun-loving good guy. My condolences to the family.
