Darlene was born in Davenport, Iowa, on Sept. 17, 1942, daughter of Allen and Gertrude (Bangert) Otto. Darlene married Marvin R. Wulf on Feb. 22, 1969, in Davenport. Together, they moved to Abingdon in 1983.

Darlene was a homemaker who worked on the family dairy farm alongside her husband. She loved animals, especially her dogs. She has had a large impact on others, as she was a 4-H leader for over 25 years. She enjoyed the small things, including cooking, baking, sewing, gardening and other crafts. She loved polka-dancing and going to fairs with her loved ones. She cherished attending her grandchildren's concerts and grandparents' days.

Darlene will be dearly missed by her husband, Marvin; daughters Charlene (Mike) Lannholm of Galesburg, Marlene (Mark) Watt of Abingdon, Eileen (Steve) Tjaden of Trivoli and Jolene (Joe) Faler of Prairie City; and her son, Eugene (Lindsay) Wulf of Abingdon. Also surviving are her sisters, Phyllis (Arlo) Krebs of Durant and Bernice Koberg of Walcott, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Kathleen; brother and sister-in-law, Allen (Karen) Otto; and brother-in-law, Kenny Koberg.

We were so shocked to read of the death of Darlene. We always laughed at the amount of trips she made in that big boat of a car with you kids. She loved the 4-H Club. We will be thinking of all of you with sadness of her passing.
