GALESBURG - Dylan D. Main, 40, Galesburg, died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 14, 2020, in the emergency room of Galesburg Cottage Hospital.

He was born Sept. 15, 1980, at St. Mary's Hospital, the son of David E. and Cynthia J. (Hyman) Main.

He is survived by his best friend and companion, Patty Tucker of Galesburg; a brother, Tony Main of Peoria; his maternal grandparents, Willis and Carole Hyman of Galesburg; aunts Mary (Craig) Foster of Bushnell, Jenny Hyman of Galesburg, Roxie (Bill) Leahy of Alexis and Connie Heusinkveld of Galesburg; uncles Shawn (Nannette Vaglica) Hyman of California, Jerry Fred Main of Galesburg and Ricky (Cheryl) Main of Tennessee; and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his paternal grandparents, Jerry Z. Main and Rose Shepherd Main; and two aunts, Charley Armstrong and Susie Hyman.

Dylan graduated from Galesburg High School in 1999. He had a great love of music, enjoying listening, playing and singing. He enjoyed spending time with his brother, Tony, his friend, Patty, and other family members. Dylan was a very faithful man and was currently attending The Rock Apostolic Community Church. Dylan had a fondness for animals.

Cremation will be accorded. A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Humane Society. Dylan grew up across the street from me growing up . He had to be 5 or so last I knew he would still stop and check in on my dad every once in a while . Great kid kind and gentle young man . Rest easy Dylan - Milo Jr
