My husband knew Sylvia before I did as he grew up in Altona but I knew her when she became a member of Choral Dynamics. Enjoyed singing with her and missed her when she was no longer able to be part of the group. A lovely person. Ellen Boland

Sylvia is one of my early childhood memories. She came to our farmhouse and drank coffee with my Mom. She was always a little surprised at the busy little Martinson tribe. We knew her as the lady down the road. Years later, Sylvia and I worshiped together, and I grew to appreciate her for her strong faith. She endured cancer and survived for a long time with it, and other health issues. We shared the awful cancer diagnosis, although different kinds. I respected her and prayed often for her. Enjoy your perfect peace now Sylvia, free from cancer, and pain. See you in Heaven! Ps if you see my Mom, please have a cuppa with her! And teller I miss her!

Sylvia was one of our favorite people and we visited her whenever we were back in the area. She was a highly talented organist and pianist and had a lovely voice. She was passionate about her faith. She was an inveterate reader and devoured books that she then passed on to the Ransom Public Library in Altona.Sleep well, dear friend!
