Dorothy was born on March 1, 1929 in Laramie, Wyoming to Henry and Dorothy Koch. She was the baby of nine children and was a very outgoing child. Her family were long time business men and developers in Laramie. In December 1952 she married the love of her life, William L. Jones Sr., after meeting him at the airbase in Cheyenne. They were married for 53 years until William passed away in 2005. Dorothy devoted her life to be a military wife and raising her children. William retired from Dyess Air force Base in 1973 making the couple residents of Abilene for over 50 years. She enjoyed playing Bingo and frequented Ambler Bingo and VFW Bingo. She is preceded in death by her husband, William L. Jones Sr.; parents, Henry and Dorothy M. Koch; her son, Russell Edward Jones; her nine siblings, Margaret D. Macgregor, Conrad J. Koch, Julia E. Knobel, Frederica Sheeley, George W. Koch, Augusta M. DePietro, Karl E. Koch, and John R. Koch.
