E. J. "Tim" Timmreck

After a seven-year journey with Alzheimer's Disease which he traveled with bravery and grace, Tim passed peacefully at Northern Nevada Hospital on February 27th with family and friends by his side.
Tim was born in Meridian, Mississippi on September 2, 1945, grew up in Longview, Washington and joined the Air Force in 1963. After a 20-year career in the Air Force, he moved again to Reno where he had previously been stationed as a recruiter and began a second career with Lewis Homes. When KB Home bought Lewis Homes, Tim continued with KB Home and retired in 2007 as National Safety Director.
Tim is survived by his wife Bonnie and daughter Carla of Sparks, father Carmin, brothers Robert (Emma) and Everett (Maxine) of Longview, Washington and brother Joe of Pearl City, Hawaii and numerous other cherished family members including 14 nieces and nephews who will all miss his passionate and competitive game playing abilities and quiet sense of humor.
At Tim's request, no funeral is planned. The family sends special thanks to all the kind staff on the 5th floor of Northern Nevada Hospital and asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Tim's name to the Northern Nevada Alzheimer's Association.

I was blessed to know Tim before his Alzheimer journey. Such a kind and thoughtful man - and funny! Please, Tim, say "hi" to my friends and family in Heaven. They'll enjoy your company!Thank you, Bonnie, for introducing me to such a great guy.
