Marcia Ann was born in Centerville, Iowa, the only child of Lee and Eva Tadlock. After her birth, her parents moved to the city of Bloomfield, Iowa where she was raised. Following her education, she was got her first job in Des Moines, Iowa working for the Department of Agriculture. Later that year, she began working as a civilian at the San Diego Naval Station in the Computer Repair and Support Technician position. They were able to make this journey eleven times since 2006! Marcia also loved meeting people and volunteering at local events such as Hot August Nights and the Reno Air Races in their hometown of Reno, Nevada.

Where do I begin to tell you all the memories I have of Marcia..
I met Mike & Marcia back in 1975 when we were all learning to square dance. Marcia was a natural and loved attending the class. We became very good friends, but a couple of years later, I moved to Phoenix . Fortunately the friendship didn’t end there, and over the next 20+ years we had many adventures together. I remember night drives to San Diego to meet up at Disneyland for a quick weekend getaway, then back to Phoenix for work on Monday. There were countless drives and airline flights back and forth over the years to Universal Studios, San Diego Zoo, hike La Jolla cliffs, Knottsberry Farm, Catalina Island, Old Town, etc. One special trip for Mike’s 40th birthday, we went to Casa de Pico, our favorite Mexican Restaurant, to celebrate and enjoy the super large margaritas. Another trip to Disney World in Orlando, as well as MGM, and the Kennedy Space Center. And don’t forget the drive to Mammoth Caves in 1977 when M&M came to visit us in Virginia for Christmas. We saw Harry Chapin during that visit.
So many trips together including hiking in Aspen, the train ride to hell to the Grand Canyon, and the Mississippi Queen trip from St Paul to St Louis, and a very special vacation in Hawaii where we stayed at the Royal Kona on the Big Island. I’m sure Mike remembers the Windjammer cruise on the Amazing Grace from Grenada to Freeport where we all got a lesson in napkin folding. M&M also showed up for my 40th birthday many years ago wearing their matching tuxedo outfits. And I remember all the times we met at El Torito in Scottsdale for dinner whenever they were in town.
Marcia once called me her sister and she will forever be my sister.
Michael – I hope this brings back good memories.
Affectionately, Susan Green

Marcia was an inspiration and Godsend. When she volunteered to be the Secretary at RCF AWANA (a kids scripture-based club) she jumped in with both feet. She was amazing! She always asked how she could help, kept the club very organized, kept the supplies well stocked and was always there for the kids and directors. She never complained, and could handle any situation. When I would see her friendly smile each Wednesday night, I just knew it would be a great night at club. Jesus must have called her home early, as heaven has another angel.
