My deepest condolences to Gordon's family. May the God of peace and comfort be with the family during this most difficult time.

"That's Blackwell - as in Crosse and Blackwell - the Pommy baked beans!" was the first words he said as he and Ivy were introduced to me in the late 70s. He became a permanent fixture at the Annual Condobolin Arts and Craft Exhibition. A firm favourite with the people, his skill as a top craftsman was legendary, his sense of humour and ability to connect was inspiring. He and Ivy became great friends until Life and circumstances conspired to consign our friendship to the happy memory basket. I often ask blacksmiths doing shows if they know Gordon. They all know him or of him. but it was so long ago I thought he must have passed. I wish I'd tried harder to find him so we could have "chewed the cud" of memories. My family sends our sincere condolences to his family and close friends.
