I was lucky to have the good fortune of knowing Mr. Johnny D. Durham in a professional nature. He was a wonderful person who always shared a kind word if you took the time to listen. His lack of presence in the community will not go unnoticed and will truly be missed. My sincere condolences to the entire Durham Family.

It was a true pleasure having the opportunity to meet Johnny a few years ago. He and Rebecca were such enjoyable people and it was an honor to be invited on occasions to their home for wonderful meals and fellowship. Johnny was truly a man's man and a gentleman in every way. He will be sorely missed by a multitude of people in Ruidoso as well as his winter home in San Carlos, Mexico. Throughout his battle with a dreaded disease I never saw him give up his zest for life. His soulmate, spouse, and friend was at his side each step of the way and is an inspiration to many of us who were blessed to be even a small part in their lives.
May you soar with the Angles, Amigo. Until we meet again.......

If there was ever a "Ruidoso's Nicest Guy" I would have voted for Johnny Durham. I've been gone from Ruidoso for 17 years but I'll bet Johnny was still one of Ruidoso's nicest people! God bless Rebecca and all of Johnny's family.
