Al was like a father to me. I will miss him dearly. He was the apple of my mothers eye. Al and my mother shared a deep love and friendship for several years after the passing of his previous wife. My mom told me that she never felt more close to a man then she did Al even though their relationship was long distance which made it hard at times. I saw a new life and a twinkle in my mothers eyes when Al and her connected. Al made my mother very happy which in turn made me very happy. As I told my mother, not many people in this lifetime get to experience that kind of love and connection with another human being. She is indeed a lucky woman. I really enjoyed watching those two together. Very sweet and endearing. I only wish that they had more time together. Rest in peace dad. I love you very much and mom and I will have a celebration of life in your honor when she arrives home from Arizona tomorrow.
