Not sure what to say?

I've already written to you that Mrs. Rose Post has edited articles about me when I lived with my "American parents" in 1972 and 1974. I have a whole file full with her articles and ever enjoy reading one of them. I won't forget her for her person belongs to my "Salisburian time" - forever, as long as I live !!!

I was born here in Salisbury, but left 50 years ago, residing in DC. A few years back, I emailled Mrs. Post a "Birthday Card", of which she emailled me back. I am back in Salisbury, and just heard of her passing. To the family I wish to offer my deepest condolences. She is with "Him" now.

Dear Posts and Rose's extended family and friends,

Lisa [Staton Dyer] has already said it so well. Thank you, Lisa.

Rose was an inspiration to generations of us girls who wrote for their school papers. (I was editor-in-chief of the Randolph-Macon Woman's Colllege weekly newspaper my senior year there.)

Such a role model, too, for how to speak one's mind and yet always speak with great kindness.

We celebrate her life, and we will miss her.

Dear Family of Mrs. Post,
I am very sad to hear of the passing of such a wonderful lady. I have very fond memories of Mrs. Post from the many times I spent the night with Susie as a young child. She certainly left a strong and positive legacy as she made a difference in this world. May God grant you His
peace at this difficult time!

Rose was one of those "Special People" who rarely comes around in one's life. I feel so blessed to have had her a part of my childhood. I moved from Salisbury 40 years ago, and Rose and Eddie and their family was always family to me. Rose was one of the most interesting people I knew and she always found time to "sit down and talk" to find out how I was doing. I love her very much!

Susie and Post Family,

I was among the many young children who had to be disabused of the notion that the Salisbury Post was named after your mom! What an incredible woman, and how lucky all of us from Salisbury were to have benefited from reading her wonderful columns over the years. Luckier, still, were all who had the pleasure of getting to know her personally. What a legacy she leaves! Thinking of you all as you endure your loss.
